HELP US DOCUMENT local LIFE DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC
Right now we are living in a truly remarkable epoch-making period of world history. The effects will be felt for many years to come.
But, in the turbulence of world events, the little things, the daily minutiae, are sometimes forgotten. Expert scientists, medicos, sociologists, economists and historians will extensively document what is happening. But what of the local events and impacts?
What of the changes at the small community level, to families, schools, social and sporting groups, to churches? We need to document the stories and the actions of local people, the measures they are taking, even now, to manage and sustain life.
What of the enterprise many local coffee shops and restaurants have shown in finding ways to keep trading? What noticeable social behaviour have we adopted?
What of the many acts of kindness locals are showing others in Lane Cove at this time? Have there been any humorous actions and events that deserve to be remembered?
This pandemic is changing our world and our community at such a speed that it is hard to keep up with the pace of changes. Please play your part and tell us what you are experiencing during COVID-19 2020.
You can give something now to future generations. You're important—how you go about your daily life in lockdown, how you cope, how you feel, what you think. We want to hear from you. Email us your account of events you've experienced, or, even record some interviews with friends or family.
